联合学生协会. (A.S.)在2017年庆祝了120周年. 结合 有了这个重要的里程碑，A.S. 借此机会反思当前的形势 context and priorities of the 组织, and to forecast a new vision and goals, to guide us on an even more intentional path as an auxiliary non-profit 组织 圣何塞州立大学. 的一个.S. 董事会于2018年批准了该计划.

相关学生 chose to embark on a strategic planning process in an effort to focus on the overall direction and effectiveness of the 组织.  通过 过程中,.S.:

  • Articulated the current context of the 组织 and forecasted priorities for 未来五年;
  • Engaged campus stakeholders in thoughtful dialogue about the student experience at 菠菜网lol正规平台; and
  • Aligned the 组织al structure, values, programs and services to advance Associated 学生的视力.

A design team comprised of board members, 菠菜网lol正规平台 staff members and students developed the 战略计划 outlined here during a series of planning sessions spanning 2016 和2017年.  Input and feedback was provided by a diverse group of stakeholders comprised 的学生，A.S. 员工、管理人员和校园合作伙伴. 联合学生 董事会 officially approved the plan on September 27, 2017.

A.S. 着手设计一个计划:

  • Advances the strategic priorities of San Jose State University;
  • Utilizes a 10-year mindset, by considering the impact of our decisions on business 今天和将来;
  • Receives support from students, student leaders, campus leaders and colleagues;
  • Articulates financial and structural sustainability; and
  • Demonstrates accountability through assessment of measurable goals and outcomes.

  • Goal E: provide opportunities for students that encourage their personal determination, inspire their educational goals, and enable them to define their own personal legacies.

 

Fostering and strengthening relationships across campus to bolster our work with key partners; and,

  • Goal F: seek out and amplify student voices to ensure that their identities, values and needs are utilized and reflected in the work of the entire 相关学生 组织
  • Goal G: cultivate and/or strengthen relationships with 菠菜网lol正规平台 leadership and administration including the University President, VPSA, Academic Senate, campus departments and 学生组织
  • Goal H: celebrate and appreciate campus partnerships
